Some of my favorite verses, Remembering a message from Roger

Psalms 27:1-3

(1)The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strong hold of my life, whom shall I be afraid?
(2)When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh,
when my enemiesand my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.
(3)Though an army besiege me, my heart shall not fear.
Though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.


About 3 weeks ago Roger spoke on something and I remembered a song that I have that goes along with it. Roger spoke about even though God gave us the power to move mountains and part the seas, that there is no point in doing that if we don't have Gods love and are not doing it for his glory. This reminded me of a song called Mighty Love, written by Bob Carlise on the cd Butterfly Kisses. The chorus of the song is really good and so I am going to share it with you all.

".....I can have faith, a mountain of hope, I can even speak with tounges of angels and tell you every thing I know, but it doesn't mean a thing in this world with out a mighty love.

I can be strong, I can stand tall. I can point squarly at the mountain and command that it be gone, but it doesn't mean a thing in this world, without a mighty love."
